So I will send fire against the house of Hazael, and it will devour the fortresses of Ben-hadad.

The Lord said to him, “Go, return on the road through the Wilderness of Damascus, and when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Aram.

And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took back the cities from Ben-hadad the son of Hazael that had been taken from Jehoahaz his father in war. Three times Joash struck him and recovered the cities of Israel.

The anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, so He gave them into the hand of Hazael king of Aram and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael all their days.

After this, Ben-hadad king of Aram gathered all his army, went up, and besieged Samaria.

Then Asa removed silver and gold from the storehouses of the house of the Lord and palace of the king, and he sent it to Ben-hadad king of Aram in Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

But if you will not listen to Me to sanctify the Sabbath day and not to bear a load, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in the gates and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem and it will not be quenched.

I will kindle a fire to the wall of Damascus, and it will consume the palaces of Ben-hadad.

They shall know that I am the Lord when I have set a fire in Egypt and when all her helpers are destroyed.

I will send a fire on Magog and among those who dwell safely in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.

Israel has forgotten his maker and built temples, and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; so I will send a fire upon his cities, and it will devour his palaces.

So I will send fire against the wall of Tyre, and it will devour its fortresses.

So I will send fire against Teman, and it will devour the fortresses of Bozrah.

So I will kindle a fire against the wall of Rabbah, and it will devour its fortresses, with a war cry on the day of battle, with a tempest on the day of the whirlwind.

So I will send fire against the wall of Gaza, and it will devour its fortresses.

So I will send fire against Moab, and it will devour the fortresses of Kerioth; Moab will die in uproar, with a war cry and the alarm of the trumpet.

So I will send fire against Judah, and it will devour the fortresses of Jerusalem.

God also repaid the evil deeds of the men of Shechem, and the curse of Jotham son of Jerub-Baal came upon them.
