Then Joseph sent and called for his father Jacob and all his kindred, seventy-five souls.

Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy people, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven.

All the people who came from the seed of Jacob were seventy people, but Joseph was in Egypt already.

Israel also came to Egypt, and Jacob dwelt in the land of Ham.

The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan). The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

You must tell my father of all my glory in Egypt and of all that you have seen, and you must hurry and bring my father down here.”

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
