Then He rolled up the scroll, and He gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all those who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been in that condition now a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be healed?”

When he looked intently at him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, Lord?” He said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up as a memorial before God.

I considered what I had observed and saw four-footed creatures and wild beasts and reptiles and birds of the air.

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer.

As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the entrance that is called Solomon’s Porch, greatly amazed.

When Peter saw it, he answered the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Or why do you stare at us, as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk?

Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms.

So he paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.
