Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison and give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was finished. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Then they drew Jeremiah up with cords and took him up out of the cistern, and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Jesus said to them, “Come and see.” So they came and saw where He stayed and remained with Him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.

But after two years Porcius Festus succeeded Felix. And Felix, desiring to do the Jews a favor, left Paul imprisoned.

When we arrived at Rome, the centurion handed the prisoners over to the captain of the guard. But Paul was allowed to remain by himself with the soldier who guarded him.

When he had said these words, the Jews departed and disputed greatly among themselves.

Are they servants of Christ? I speak as a fool. I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, often facing death.

in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, and in hunger;

so that my imprisonments in Christ have become known throughout the entire palace guard and to all the rest.

But when he arrived in Rome, he searched me out very diligently and found me.

Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.
