There we found brothers, and were invited to remain with them for seven days. And so we went to Rome.

In seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will destroy from the face of the earth.”

But we sailed away from Philippi after the Days of Unleavened Bread, and after five days we came to them at Troas, where we stayed for seven days.

When we found the disciples, we remained there seven days. They told Paul through the Spirit not to go up to Jerusalem.

From there we circled around and sailed to Rhegium. After one day the south wind blew, and the next day we arrived at Puteoli.

From there, when the brothers heard of us, they traveled as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.

They said to him, “We have not received any letters from Judea concerning you, and none of the brothers that have come have reported or spoken any evil of you.

Brothers, look among yourselves for seven men who are known to be full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint over this duty.

When the brothers learned this, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him off to Tarsus.

Now I would not have you unaware, brothers, that I often intended to come to you (but was prevented until now), that I might have a harvest among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.
