But after two years Porcius Festus succeeded Felix. And Felix, desiring to do the Jews a favor, left Paul imprisoned.

But Festus, desiring to do the Jews a favor, asked Paul, “Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem to be judged concerning these charges before me?”

And Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

Paul remained two whole years in his own rented house. He welcomed all who came to him,

For am I now seeking the approval of men or of God? Or am I trying to please men? For if I were still trying to please men, I would not be the servant of Christ.
