Then Zedekiah the son of Kenaanah walked up and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, “Which way did the spirit of the Lord go from me in order to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Kenaanah came near to Micaiah and struck him on the cheek. And he said, “Which way then did the spirit from the Lord pass from me to speak with you?”

They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have struck me upon the cheek with reproach; they have gathered themselves together against me.

Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet and put him in the stocks that were in the upper Gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord.

Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; he has laid siege against us. With a rod they will strike the judge of Israel on the cheek.

Then they spit in His face and struck Him. And others slapped Him with the palms of their hands,

When He had said this, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, “Is that how You answer the high priest?”

Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil, but if well, why do you strike me?”

After five days Ananias the high priest arrived with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus. They brought before the governor their charges against Paul.
