On the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to leave the next day, preached to them and continued his message until midnight.

In the area in front of the Water Gate, he read aloud from sunrise until midday to the men, women, and those who could understand. All the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law.

They stood in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for one-fourth of the day. And for another fourth, they confessed and worshipped the Lord their God.

Now when Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.

Then He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”

Then they reported what had happened on the way, and how He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

Early on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb while it was still dark and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

On the evening of that first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

After eight days His disciples were again inside with the doors shut, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.”

After he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers.

And continuing daily with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

When he had gone up and had broken bread and eaten, he conversed for a long while until dawn and departed.

Therefore watch, remembering that for three years night and day I did not cease to warn everyone with tears.

These men went forward and waited for us at Troas.

A young man named Eutychus sat in the window, falling into a deep sleep as Paul spoke for a longer time. Being overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third floor and was taken up dead.

When they had arranged a day to be with him, many came to him at his residence. From morning until evening he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God to them, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

But by the grace of God I am what I am. And His grace toward me was not in vain. I labored more abundantly than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

On the first day of the week let every one of you lay in store, as God has prospered him, so that no collections be made when I come.

Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a great voice like a trumpet,
