But none of these things deter me. Nor do I count my life of value to myself, so that I may joyfully finish my course and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, in reproaches, in hardships, in persecutions, and in distresses for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy we have received, we do not lose heart.

So then, death works in us, but life in you.

Instead, I say that we are confident and willing to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

Great is my boldness of speech toward you; great is my boasting of you. I am filled with comfort, and I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),

to the praise of the glory of His grace which He graciously bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Yes, and even if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I take delight and rejoice with you all.

because for the work of Christ he was near death, not regarding his life, endeavoring to make up for your lack of service toward me.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church.

With the help of Silas, whom I consider to be a faithful brother to you, I have written briefly, exhorting you and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.

By this we know the love of God: that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Then a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers should be completed, who would be killed as they were.
