When they arrived at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John as an assistant.

So he returned from following him and took a yoke of oxen and sacrificed them and boiled their flesh with the yokes from the oxen and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he got up and went after Elijah and ministered to him.

When he saw that she was serious, he arose and ran for his life to Beer-sheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

Realizing this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John, whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together praying.

When Barnabas and Saul had fulfilled their ministry, they returned from Jerusalem and took with them John, whose name was Mark.

But they departed from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. And they went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down.

Then Paul and Barnabas boldly said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first. But seeing you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.

At Iconium they entered the synagogue of the Jews together and so spoke that a great crowd of both Jews and Greeks believed.

Barnabas determined to take with them John, who was called Mark.

Therefore he disputed in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there.

He lectured in the synagogue every Sabbath and persuaded Jews and Greeks.

He sent two who ministered to him, Timothy and Erastus, into Macedonia, but he delayed in Asia for a time.

The city was filled with confusion. And in unison they seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia, and rushed into the theater.

He went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, lecturing and persuading concerning the kingdom of God.

Immediately he preached in the synagogues that the Christ is the Son of God.

Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, with Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you received instructions: If he comes to you, receive him),

Only Luke is with me. Get Mark, and bring him with you, for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
