“For after David had served by the counsel of God in his own generation, he fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw decay.

And Saul was consenting to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem. And they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Then they also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

Then He was seen by over five hundred brothers at once, of whom the greater part remain to this present time, though some have passed away.

But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others who have no hope.
