But the Jews who did not believe became jealous and, taking some evil men from the marketplace, gathered a crowd, stirred up the city, and attacked the house of Jason, trying to bring them out to the mob.

For it seems unreasonable to me to send a prisoner without signifying the charges against him.”

Some believed what was said, but some did not believe.

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”

that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my ministry for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me if the dead do not rise? “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”

He said: I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end will be, for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom there is no loyalty.

Therefore we wished to come to you—even I, Paul, once and again—but Satan hindered us.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
