When they buried Abner at Hebron, the king raised his voice and wept at the grave of Abner, and all of the people wept.

They mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Saul, Jonathan his son, the people of the Lord, and the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.

David then gave orders to the young men. They killed them, cut off their hands and feet, and hung them at the pool in Hebron, but they took the head of Ish-bosheth and buried it in the grave of Abner at Hebron.
