Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, “Get up and go, you and your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will come on the land for seven years.”

Now there was a famine in the land, so Abram went down to Egypt to live there, for the famine was severe in the land.

Or shall there be three days of plague in your land? Now consider and advise what answer I shall return to Him who sent me.”

Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives before whom I stand, there will not be dew or rain these years except by my word.”

Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. And there was a great famine in Samaria.

When the child was older, he went out one day to his father with the reapers.

Then Elisha called Gehazi and said, “Call the Shunammite woman.” So he called her, and she came to him. Then he said, “Pick up your son.”

When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a famine in the land. The sons of the prophets were sitting before him, and he said to his servant, “Put on the big cooking pot, and boil some stew for the sons of the prophets.”

So it happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gate, and he died.

So the woman got up and did according to the word of the man of God. She went with her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines for seven years.

Moreover He called for a famine upon the land; He broke the whole supply of bread.

For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

But I tell you truthfully, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were closed for three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land.

One of them, named Agabus, stood up and prophesied by the Spirit that there would be a great famine throughout all the world, which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

In the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land. And a man from Bethlehem in Judah went to live in the land of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons.
