But the Lord said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for My name, you did well because of what was in your heart;

Tell the Israelites to bring Me an offering. From every man who gives willingly with his heart you shall receive My offering.

Everyone who was making a contribution of silver and bronze brought the Lord’s offering, and everyone who had acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.

The Israelites brought a willing offering to the Lord, every man and woman whose heart was willing to bring material for all the work which the Lord had commanded through Moses to be made.

Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze,

What is desirable in a man is kindness, and it is better to be poor than to be a liar.

So also, he who had received two gained another two.

“He who had received two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents. See, I have gained two more talents besides them.’

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much. And he who is dishonest in the least is dishonest also in much.

Now therefore complete the task, so that, as there was a willingness to do so, there may be a performance of it according to your means.

I do not mean that other men have relief, and you be burdened,

And not only that, but he was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which we administer to the glory of the same Lord, and to declare your willing mind,

Let every man give according to the purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

As everyone has received a gift, even so serve one another with it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
