Great is my boldness of speech toward you; great is my boasting of you. I am filled with comfort, and I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

so that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ when I am in your presence again.

Yes, and even if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I take delight and rejoice with you all.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Will it not even be you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

But even after we had previously suffered and were shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to declare to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.

So we boast about you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you are enduring.

For we have great joy and encouragement on account of your love, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed through you, brother.
