When men are cast down, and you say, ‘There is a time of exaltation!’ then He will save the humble person.

“Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed against me.

Yes, and all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Let your lives be without love of money, and be content with the things you have. For He has said: “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”
