Because they have abandoned Me and offered sacrifices to other gods in order to provoke Me with everything they have made with their hands, so My rage will be poured out on this place, and it will not be quenched.

Because they have forsaken Me and have made offerings to other gods, so that they have provoked Me to anger with all the works of their hands, therefore My wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.

And in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt went up against Jerusalem, for they had acted unfaithfully against the Lord,

Therefore, He has poured on him the fury of His anger and the strength of battle; and it has set him on fire all around, yet he did not recognize it; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

Then they will answer, “Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.”

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your deeds.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, My anger and My fury will be poured out upon this place, upon man and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

He has cut off in fierce anger all the might of Israel; He has drawn back His right hand from before the enemy. He has burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, devouring all around.

He has bent His bow like an enemy, with his right hand set like an adversary; He has killed all who were pleasant to His eye; in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion, He has poured out His fury like fire.

The Lord has fulfilled His fury, He has poured out His fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations.

All flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it. It shall not be quenched.

Therefore I poured My fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land and for their idols with which they had polluted it.

Seek the Lord and live, or He will break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it will devour Bethel, with no one to quench it.

Who can stand before His anger? Who will rise up before His burning wrath? His heat is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken up before Him.
