And it happened when the commanders of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “It is the king of Israel.” So they turned on him to wage war. But Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him, and God drew them away from him.

They were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all who were with them were delivered into their hand, for they cried to God in the battle, and He heard their prayer because they trusted in Him.

Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord in Jerusalem,

O Lord, I implore You, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name. And let Your servant prosper this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” For I was the king’s cupbearer.

You pushed against me violently, that I might fall, but the Lord helped me.

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.   Selah

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

As rivulets of water is the heart of a king in the hand of the Lord; wherever He pleases is where He directs it.
