Now Jehoshaphat had great riches and honor, and he married into the family of Ahab.

So the Lord established the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah gave a tribute to Jehoshaphat. So he had an abundance of riches and honor.

And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel as those from the house of Ahab did, for the daughter of Ahab was the wife of Jehoram. And he did evil in the eyes of the Lord.

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and he said to King Jehoshaphat, “How do you help those who are wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

He walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. He did evil in the sight of the Lord.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? What communion has light with darkness?

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you.

And it happened when the commanders of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “It is the king of Israel.” So they turned on him to wage war. But Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him, and God drew them away from him.

Jehoshaphat continued to increase in greatness, and he built citadels and storehouses in Judah.

Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she rose up and destroyed all the royal descendants.

But there were none compared to Ahab, who sold himself to evil deeds in the sight of the Lord, which Jezebel his wife stirred up.

And there were three years without war between Aram and Israel.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat and the strength he showed and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Also, Jehoshaphat king of Judah was united with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted wickedly.
