And all Judah rejoiced over this oath because they swore with their whole heart and they sought Him with all their desire; and He was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around.

The king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the Lord to follow the Lord, to keep His commandments, His testimonies, and His statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. All the people agreed with the covenant.

Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

And those who set their hearts to seek the Lord God of Israel followed after them from all the tribes of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.

They swore an oath to the Lord in a loud voice, with shouting, trumpets, and horns.

and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you all seek Him, He will be found with you. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them.

They were broken to pieces, nation against nation and city against city, because God confused them with every type of distress.

However, some good things are found in you, for you swept away the Asherah poles from the land, and you set your heart to seek after God.”

So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was quiet, because his God gave him rest on all sides.

Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel so that His burning anger might turn away from us.

Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events happened suddenly.

Then the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant written in this book.

Then Nehemiah the magistrate, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were teaching the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Stop mourning and weeping.” (This was because all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law.)

When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? And when He hides His face, who then can behold Him, whether it is done against a nation or against a man only?

With my whole heart have I sought You; let me not wander from Your commandments.

I have sworn and I will confirm it, that I will keep Your righteous judgments.

Your testimonies have I taken as my heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!

Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances. Then all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has said we will do.”

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

In the way of Your judgments, O  Lord, we have waited for You eagerly; the desire of our souls is Your name, even Your memory.

I have not spoken in secret in a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, “Seek Me in a waste place”; I, the Lord, speak righteousness; I declare things that are right.

For our rejoicing is this: The testimony of our conscience is that we conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God.

You shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given to you and your house, you, and the Levite, as well as the foreigner who is among you.

I am in a difficult position between the two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better.

A long time later, after the Lord had given Israel rest from all their enemies around them, Joshua was old and advanced in years.

So that day Joshua made a covenant for the people and established regulations and laws for them at Shechem.
