For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox that treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his reward.”

You shall not defraud your neighbor or rob him. The wages of him who is hired shall not stay with you all night until the morning.

nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor shoes, nor even staffs. For the workman is worthy of his keep.

Remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they give, for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Do not go from house to house.

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed.”

God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

What does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”

In the same way, the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel in advance to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.”

You must not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.

Do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “He yearns jealously for the spirit that lives in us” ?
