“Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts become burdened by excessiveness and drunkenness and anxieties of life, and that Day comes on you unexpectedly.

Therefore having obtained help from God, I continue to this day, testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen:

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

if by any means I may make my kinsmen jealous and might save some of them.

Now I urge you, brothers, to closely watch those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the teaching which you have learned, and avoid them.

To those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality will be eternal life.

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.

To the weak, I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

But I bring and keep my body under subjection, lest when preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

so we may no longer be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about with every wind of teaching by the trickery of men, by craftiness with deceitful scheming.

forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved. In this way they are always piling up their sins, but wrath has come upon them to the extreme.

Meditate on these things. Give yourself completely to them, that your progress may be known to everyone.

But continue in the things that you have learned and have been assured of, knowing those from whom you have learned them,

Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.

holding firmly the trustworthy word that is in accordance with the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort with sound teaching and to convince those who oppose it.

Teach these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

in all things presenting yourself as an example of good works: in teaching showing integrity, gravity, incorruptibility,

I, Paul, have written this with my own hand. I will repay it—not to mention that you owe me even your own self.

watching diligently so that no one falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness spring up to cause trouble, and many become defiled by it,

Do not be carried away with diverse and strange teachings. It is a good thing that the heart be strengthened with grace, not with foods, which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

let him know that he who converts the sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
