Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone,

so that they may offer acceptable sacrifices to the God of heaven, as well as pray for the life of the king and of his sons.

And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all men, even as we do for you.

We are bound to thank God always for you, brothers, as it is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you abounds toward each other.

We desire that every one of you show the same diligence for the full assurance of hope to the end,

Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.
