For our rejoicing is this: The testimony of our conscience is that we conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God.

You may have heard of the administration of the grace of God which was given me for you,

Without question, great is the mystery of godliness: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up into glory.

But refuse profane and foolish myths. Instead, exercise in the ways of godliness.

But you, O man of God, escape these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

O Timothy, guard that which is committed to your trust. Avoid profane babblings and opposing views from so-called knowledge.

Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to argue about words, which is useless, to the ruin of those who hear.

So flee youthful desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

But avoid foolish and unlearned debates, knowing that they create strife.

and they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn to myths.

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth which leads to godliness,

not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who reject the truth.

But avoid foolish debates, genealogies, contentions, and arguments about the law, for they are unprofitable and useless.

Do not be carried away with diverse and strange teachings. It is a good thing that the heart be strengthened with grace, not with foods, which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

For we have not followed cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
