Therefore, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.

So I implore you, be followers of me.

For you know how you should follow us. For we were not idle among you,

We did this, not because we did not have that right, but to make ourselves an example for you to follow.

Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.

For you had compassion on me in my chains and joyfully endured the confiscation of your property, knowing that you have in heaven a better and an enduring possession for yourselves.

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now, if for a little while, you have had to suffer various trials,

whom, having not seen, you love; and in whom, though you do not see Him now, you believe and you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory,

Who is he who will harm you if you follow that which is good?

Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. Whoever does good is from God, but whoever does evil has not seen God.
