Now do not let my blood fall to the ground away from the presence of the Lord. Truly the king of Israel has come out to seek a single flea, as when one pursues a partridge in the mountains.”

“After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom are you pursuing? After a dead dog? A single flea?

May the Lord be judge, and decide between me and you. And may He see and plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.”

Even if a man rises to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord will be bound in the bundle of the living with the Lord your God. But the lives of your enemies He will sling out, as from the hollow of a sling.
