David arose afterward and went out from the cave. And he called after Saul saying, “My lord the king!” And when Saul looked behind him, David had bowed down with his face to the ground and paid homage.

Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the ground in reverence to the king and said, “Let my lord King David live forever.”

Saul knew David’s voice, and said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” And David said, “It is my voice, my lord king.”

He said to her, “What is his appearance?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a robe.” And Saul perceived that it was Samuel. And he knelt with his face to the ground and bowed himself.
