Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” And the Lord said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines, and rescue Keilah.”
After this, David consulted the Lord, asking, “Shall I go to one of the cities of Judah?” The Lord responded to him, “Go up.” David asked, “Where should I go?” And He said, “Hebron.”
So David asked the Lord, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” The Lord said to David, “Go up, because I will certainly give them into your hand.”
Then David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Should I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” The Lord answered, “Go up against them, and I will give them into your hand.”
He will stand before Eleazar the priest, who will ask for him about the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his word will they go out, and at his word they will come in, both he and all the Israelites with him, even all the assembly.”
The men of David said to him, “Behold, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then, if we go down to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?”
Then David again inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered him and said, “Arise, go down to Keilah because I am giving the Philistines into your hand.”
David inquired at the Lord, saying, “Should I pursue after this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue them, for you will surely overtake them and will surely recover all.”
