Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord. For the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.

He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Even like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.”

Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against the Lord.

He made his son pass through the fire, was conjuring and seeking omens, and dealt with mediums and soothsayers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger.

If any man said to him, “Let them first burn the fat and then take as much as you wish,” then he would answer him, “No, but you will give it to me now, and if not, I will take it by force.”

For I told him that I will judge his house forever, for the guilt which he knew, because his sons are cursed, and he did not rebuke them.
