So Saul took the kingdom over Israel and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the Ammonites, against Edom and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines. Whatever place he turned himself, he defeated them.

So Esau settled in the hill country of Seir. Esau is Edom.

These were the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these were their chiefs.

From the blood of the slain, from the fat of mighty, the bow of Jonathan did not turn back, nor did the sword of Saul return empty.

David reigned over all of Israel, and he administered fair judgments to all of his people.
