So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand and the knife. So the two of them walked on together.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

When they had fulfilled all that was written of Him, they took Him down from the tree and placed Him in a tomb.

The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging on a tree.

Likewise, you also consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your bodies to God as instruments of righteousness.

Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves to obey, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

God forbid! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

But now, having been freed from sin and having become slaves of God, you have fruit unto holiness, and the end is eternal life.

For the one who has died is freed from sin.

But now we are delivered from the law, having died to things in which we were bound, so that we may serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter of the law.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by being made a curse for us—as it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” —

for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth —

being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God.

He blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us and contrary to us, and He took it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.

Therefore, if you died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you subject yourself to legalistic rules?

For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifices and offerings You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.

Make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame go out of joint, but rather be healed.

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, for He is holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and is higher than the heavens.

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to save those who eagerly wait for Him.

Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.

If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who does righteousness is born of Him.

Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who does righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous.

in the middle of its street. On each side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
