He made a cast metal sea, ten cubits from one side to the other. It was round and had a height of five cubits, and a line of thirty cubits encircled it.

And he made a cast metal sea as a water basin. It was round and ten cubits from edge to edge, five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference.

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

He made the basin of bronze with its base of bronze from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

For thus says the Lord of Hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that remain in this city,

Also the pillars of bronze that were in the house of the Lord, and the stands, and the bronze sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke and carried all their bronze to Babylon.

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve bronze bulls that were under the bases, which King Solomon had made in the house of the Lord, the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.
