So the king of Israel, the king of Judah, and the king of Edom went, and they marched around seven days. But there was no water for the camp or for the livestock that followed them.

In his days Edom rebelled against the rule of Judah, and they put a king over themselves.

And he consulted with the people and then appointed singers for the Lord and those praising Him in holy attire as they went before those equipped for battle saying, “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.”

Then a man of God came to him saying, “O king, do not let the army of Israel come with you, because the Lord is not with Israel, nor with any of the Ephraimites.

The ships of Solomon went to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram. Once every three years the ships of Tarshish returned carrying gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

Kings’ daughters are among your honorable women; at your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.

as when You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant sloops.

Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish shall come first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord your God and to the Holy One of Israel because He has glorified you.

But Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found there a ship going to Tarshish. He paid its fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
