Then King Rehoboam sent Adoniram, who was in charge of the forced labor, and all Israel stoned him to death. As a result, King Rehoboam quickly mounted his chariot and fled to Jerusalem.

Adoniram was over conscripted labor. Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was secretary.

Ahishar was over the household, and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the forced labor.

Then the captain with his escorts went and brought them, without force lest they should be stoned, for they feared the people.
