I speak to your shame. Is it true that there is not even one wise man among you who shall be able to judge between his brothers?

The wisdom of the prudent is to consider his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.

In those days Peter stood up among the disciples (the number of people together was about one hundred and twenty), and said,

Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many evil things he has done to Your saints at Jerusalem.

Does not nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it is a shame to him?

Awake to righteousness and do not sin, for some do not have the knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may be wise.

We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honorable, but we are despised.

I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to the law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

If then you have judgments dealing with matters of this life, do you appoint as judges those who are least esteemed in the church?

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and without criticism, and it will be given to him.
