So I implore you, be followers of me.
Follow me as I follow Christ.
Brothers, become fellow imitators with me and observe those who walk according to our example.
Do those things which you have both learned and received, and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
You became followers of us and the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit.
We did this, not because we did not have that right, but to make ourselves an example for you to follow.
Remember those who rule over you, who have proclaimed to you the word of God. Follow their faith, considering the results it has produced in their lives.
Do not lord over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock.
