None of the rulers of this age knew it. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

At that time Jesus said, “I thank You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to infants.

He also who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they divided His clothes by casting lots.

They will do these things to you, because they have not known the Father nor Me.

Yet we speak wisdom among those who are mature, although not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

Instead, their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the old covenant, the veil which was done away with in Christ.

so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

having their understanding darkened, excluded from the life of God through the ignorance that is within them, due to the hardness of their hearts.

I was previously a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an insolent man. But I was shown mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

My brothers, have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, without partiality.
