Surely the princes of Zoan are fools; the counsel of the wise counselors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings?”
The spirit of Egypt shall be discouraged in their midst, and I will destroy their counsel; then they shall seek for the idols and for the charmers and for the mediums and the sorcerers.
therefore, behold, I will once again do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.
Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? Indeed, it is Your due. For among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like You.
Brothers, I have figuratively applied these things to myself and to Apollos for your sakes, so that you may learn from us not to think of men above that which is written, and that not one of you would be arrogant for one against another.
