Then the people rejoiced because they had offered willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord; and King David also rejoiced greatly.

I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last you have revived your concern for me. Regarding this, you did care, but you lacked opportunity.

The Israelites brought a willing offering to the Lord, every man and woman whose heart was willing to bring material for all the work which the Lord had commanded through Moses to be made.

So David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly, and David said, “Blessed are You, O  Lord, the God of Israel, our Father forever and ever.

Beside him was Amasiah the son of Zikri, a volunteer for the Lord with two hundred thousand mighty men of war.

So all the officials and people rejoiced, and they brought in the money and cast it into the chest until it was full.

When Hezekiah and the officials saw the contribution piles, they blessed the Lord and His people Israel.

So everyone all around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, gold, goods, animals, and precious things, besides all that was given voluntarily.
