So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel because his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of His people Israel.

Your house and dominion will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established by the Lord forever.

Now therefore, you will say to My servant David: Thus says the Lord of Hosts: I took you from the pasture, from following after the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.

Blessed be the Lord your God, who delighted in you and set you on the throne of Israel, because the Lord loved Israel forever; therefore He made you king in order to execute judgment and justice.”

Then Hiram the king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar wood, stonemasons, and carpenters to build a palace for him.

Now David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David fathered more sons and daughters.

This was something small in Your eyes, God, but You have spoken concerning the house of Your servant for a great while to come and have regarded me with the status of a great man, O  Lord God.

I will provide for the woodsmen, your servants who cut timber, twenty thousand dry kors of crushed wheat, twenty thousand kors of barley, twenty thousand liquid baths of wine, and twenty thousand liquid baths of oil.”

Then Hiram king of Tyre responded in a letter that he sent to Solomon, “Because the Lord loves His people, He has made you king over them.”

For if you remain silent at this time, protection and deliverance for the Jews will be ordained from some other place, but you and your father’s house shall be destroyed. And who knows if you may have attained royal position for such a time as this?”

But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living man, but for the purpose of making known the interpretation to the king, and that you might understand the thoughts of your heart.

He will pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed will be in many waters. “His king will be higher than Agag, and his kingdom will be exalted.

Now it will be, if you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I am commanding you today, then the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
