The son of Dan was Hushim.

Dan shall be a serpent by the road, a viper on the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider will fall backward.

From Naphtali: one thousand captains, and with them thirty-seven thousand with shields and spears.

From Asher, those going out to war, arranged for battle: forty thousand.

Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mika, the son of Zikri, the son of Asaph;

Of Dan he said: Dan is a lion’s whelp; he will leap forth from Bashan.
