Then the Spirit came upon Amasai the captain of the officers, and he said, “We are for you, David, and with you, son of Jesse. Peace, peace to you, and peace to the one helping you, for your God helps you.” So David welcomed them and appointed them as captains of the troops.

When David finished speaking these words to Saul, Saul said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” And Saul lifted up his voice and wept.

and in order to assign for himself captains of thousands and captains of fifties, and to plow his ground, and to gather in his harvest, and to make his weapons of war and the equipment of his chariots.
