Two sons were born to Eber: The name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and the name of his brother was Joktan.

To Shem, who was the father of all the sons of Eber, whose older brother was Japheth, were sons born also.

To Eber were born two sons. The name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; his brother’s name was Joktan.

Arphaxad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.

Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

And ships will come from the coasts of Cyprus and will afflict Ashur and will afflict Eber, and he also will perish forever.”
