But they were not obedyent, they inclined not theyr eares there vnto, but wente after theyr owne ymagynacyons and after the mocyons of theyr owne wycked herte, & so turned them selues awaye, and conuerted not vnto me.

And the Lorde sayd vnto Moses: Pharao shall not regarde you, that many wonders may be wrought in the land of Egypt.

But and if ye will not herken vnto me, nor wyll do all these my commaundementes,

Neuerthelesse the people wolde not heare the voyce of Samuel, but dyd saye: naye not so: But there shalbe a kyng ouer vs,

because they wolde not herken vnto the voyce of the Lorde theyr God. But transgressed hys appoyntemente, and all that Moses the seruaunt of the Lord commaunded, and wolde neyther heare nor do.

But oure fathers were proude and hardnecked, so that they folowed not the commaundementes,

For it is an obstynate people, vnfaythful children children that will not heare the lawe of the Lord.

Who suffred Iacob to be trodden vnder fote, and Israel to be spoyled? Dyd not the Lorde? Now haue we synned agaynst hym, & haue had no delyte to walcke in his wayes nether bene obedyent vnto his lawe.

Now haue I shewed and declared vnto you the voyce of the Lorde youre God, for the whiche cause he hath sent me to you.

But they rebelled agaynst me, and would not folowe me, to cast awaye euery man the abhominacions of his eyes, & to forsake the Idoles of Egipte. Then I made to poure my indignacion ouer them, and to satisfye my wrath vpon them, yea euen in the myddest of the lande of Egipte.

My god shal cast them awaye, for they haue not bene obedient vnto hym, therefore shal they go astray amonge the Heathen.
