To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. O Lorde, thou searchest me out, and knowest me.

neyther is there anye creature inuisible in the syght of him. For all thinges are naked and bare vnto the eyes of him, of whom we speake.

But thou Lorde (to whom I am well knowne) thou that hast sene, and proued my herte, take them awaye, lyke as a flocke is caryed to the slaughter house, & apoynte them for the daye of slaughter.

Should not God fynde it out? for he knoweth the very secretes of the herte.

Trye me, O God, and seke the grounde of myne herte: proue me, and examen my thoughtes.

Thou hast proued & visited myne herte in the night season: thou hast tryed me in the fyre: & hast founde no wickednes in me: for I vtterly purposed that my mouthe shoulde not offende.

And thou Salomon my sonne: knowe God thy father, and serue hym with a pure hert, and lust of soule. For the Lorde searcheth all hertes, and vnderstandeth all the Imaginacyons of thoughtes. If thou shalte seke hym, he wylbe founde of the: But & yf thou forsake hym, he wyll caste the of for euer.

and be mercyfull, and worcke, and geue euery man according to his wayes (euen as thou onelye knowest euerye mannes herte, for thou knowest the hertes of all the children of Adam)

And I will kyl her chyldren wyth death. And all the congregacions shal know, that I am he, whiche searched the reynes and hertes. And I will geue vnto euery one of you according vnto youre workes.

And what can Dauid saye more vnto the, seyng thou knowest thy seruaunt Lorde Iehouah?

I wote where thou dwellest, and thy cominge out and goyinge in know I to, and howe thou settest vp thy brystelles agaynste me.

What can Dauid desire more of the, wherin thou shouldest make thy seruaunt more gloriouse? Thou knowest thy seruaunt:
