conforte Ierusalem, and tell her: that her trauayle is at an ende that her offence is pardoned, that she hath receyued of the Lordes hande sufficient correccyon for all her synnes.
Stande vp (O Lorde) in thy wrath, lyft vp thy selfe ouer the furyous indygnacyon of myne enemyes: aryse vp (for me) in the vengeaunce that thou hast promysed.
For thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes the God of Israell: It wil come therto, that when I haue brought Iuda oute of captyuyte, these wordes shalbe hearde in the lande and in his cities: The Lorde, whiche is the fayre brydegrome of ryghtuousnesse, make the frutefull O thou holy hyll:
And God spake further vnto Moyses: thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel: the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, & the God of Iacob hath sent me vnto you: this is my name for euer, and thys is my memorial thorowout al generations.
