And the Lord opened the eyes of Balam that he sawe the angel of the Lord standyng in the waye, wyth hys swerd drawen in hys hande. And he bowed him selfe & fel flatt on hys face.
to open theyr eyes, that they myght turne from darckenes to lyght, and from the power of Satan vnto God: that they maye receiue forgeuenes of synnes, and inheritaunce amonge them whyche are sanctyfyed by fayth in me.
And Dauid lyfte vp hys eyes & saw the Aungel of the Lorde stand betwene the earth and heauen with a drawen swerde in his hande stretched oute towarde Ierusalem. Then fel Dauid & the elders of Israel clothed in sacke vpon their faces.
and he hath saied that heareth the wordes of God & hath the knowledge of the most hie & beholdeth the vision of the almyghtye, and when he falleth downe hath his eyes opened
and the manne whose eye is open hath sayed: he hath sayd whych heareth the words of God & seeth the visions of the almyghty, whiche falleth downe: & hys eyes are opened.
And the asse sayd vnto Balam am I not thyne asse whych thou hast ridden vpon sence thou wast borne vnto this daye? Was I euer wont to do so vnto the? And he sayed naye.
And when Iosua was come to Iericho, he lyfte vp his eyes and loked: and behold there stode a man before him with his swerd drawen in his hande. And Iosua went vnto hym, and sayde vnto hym: arte thou on our syde, or on our aduersaries.
And he answered: Naye, but I am the captayne of the hoste of the Lorde, & am nowe come. And Iosua fell on hys face to the earth and dyd reuerence, and sayd vnto hym, what sayth my Lorde vnto hys seruaunt.
