Thou diggest vp welles and brokes, thou dryest vp myghty waters.

He cloaue the harde rockes in the wildernesse, & gaue them drynke therof, as it hadde bene out of the great deapth.

Lo, he smote the stony rocke, that the watery streames gusshed out, and the streames flowed with all: but how can he geue bread and prouyde flesh for hys people?

He opened the rocke of stone, and the waters flowed out: so that ryuers ranne in the wyldernesse.

Whyche turned the harde rocke into a staudynge water, and the flynte stone into a spryngyng well.

Therfore beholde, I shall make a new thynge, & shortly shall it appeare: ye shall well knowe it, I told it you afore, but I wil tel it you agayne. I wyll make stretes in the deserte, & ryuers of water in the wylderne

that they suffred no thurste, when they trauayled in the wyldernesse. He claue the rockes a sonder, and the water gusshed out.

But God brake a greate tothe, that was in the Iawe, and there came water therout. And when he had droncke, his spirite came againe, and he was refresshed, wherfore the name therof was called, the welle of the caller on, which is in Lehi vnto this day.
