Numbers 19:13

Matthew's Bible 1537

Whosoeuer toucheth any person that dyeth & sprinkeleth not hym self, defileth the dwelling of the Lord: & therfore that soul shalbe roted out of Israel, bicause he hath not sprynkled the sprinkelynge water vpon hym he shal be vncleane, and hys vncleannesse shal raygne vpon hym.

Saye vnto them: whosoeuer he be of all youre seed amonge youre generacion after you, that goeth vnto the halowed thynges whyche the chyldren of Israel shall haue halowed vnto the Lorde, hys vnclennes shalbe vpon hym: and that soule shall peryshe from oute of my syghte. I am the Lorde.

If any soule eat of the flesh of the peace offrings that pertaine vnto the Lorde, & his vncleannesse yet vpon hym, the same Soule shal peryshe from amonge hys people.

For without shal be dogges & inchaunters, & whoremongers, and murtherers & Idolaters and whosoeuer loueth or maketh leasynges.

He that doeth euill, let hym do euyll styll, & he whiche is filthy, let him be filthy still: & he that is ryghteous, let hym be more righteous: & he that is holy, let him be more holy

But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

Of howe muche sorer punyshement suppose ye shal he be counted worthy, whych treadeth vnder fote the sonne of God: and counted the bloud of the testament as an vnholy thynge wherwyth he was sanctyfyed, and doth dishonour to the spyryte of grace.

I sayd therfore vnto you, that ye shall dye in your synnes. For except ye beleue that I am he, ye shall dye in youre synnes.

The vngodlye is afrayed of euery parel, but the ryghtuous hath a good hope euen in death.

If any be vncleane & sprinkle not him selfe the same soule shalbe destroied from among the congregation: for he hath defiled the holy place of the Lorde & is not sprinkeled wyth sprynling water, therfore is he vncleane. And this shalbe a perpetual lawe vnto them. And he that sprynkeleth the sprinkelyng water, shal wash his clothes.

And a cleane person shal take Isope & dippe it in the water, and sprinkle it vpon the tente & vpon al the vessels & on the soules that were there, & vpon hym that toucheth a bone or a slaine person or a dead body or a graue.

And one that is cleane shall goo and take vp the ashes of the kowe, and put them wythout the host in a cleane place, where they shall be kepte to make sprinkelynge water for the multitude of the children of Israel: for it is a synoffering

And the soule that doeth ought presumptously, whether he be an Israelite or a straunger, the same hath despised the Lorde. And that soule shal be destroied from among his people

And this do vnto them when thou cleansest them, sprynkle water of purifyenge vpon them and make a rasure to runne alonge vpon all the fleshe of them, and let them washe theyr clothes, and then they shal be cleane.

And I wyl set my face vpon that felowe, and wyll destroy him from among hys people: because he hath geuen of hys seed vnto Moloch, for to defyle my sanctuary & to polute my holy name.

When a soule synneth & committeth any of these thynges whyche are forbidden to be done by the commaundement of the Lorde: though he wyst it not, he hath yet offended & is in synne,

and shall brynge hys trespaceofferyng vnto the Lorde for hys synne which he hath synned. A female from the flocke whether it be a Lambe or a she goote for a synneofferyng. And the priest shal make an atonement for hym for hys synne.

Either when he toucheth any vncleannes of man (whatsoeuer vncleannes it be that a man is defyled wythall) & is not ware of it and afterwarde cometh to the knowelege of it, he is a trespasour.

wyth onelye meates and drynkes and dyuers washynges and iustifiynges of the fleshe, whyche were ordeyned vntyll the tyme of reformacyon.

Moreouer if a soule touch any vncleane thing, whether it be the vnclennes of man or of any vncleane beast, or of any abhomination that is vnclene and then eat of the fleshe of the peaceofferynges which pertaine vnto the Lord, that soule shal peryshe from his people.

This is the lawe of the man that dyeth in a tent: al that come into the tente and all that is in the tent, shalbe vnclene .vij. dayes.

And the cleane person shal sprinkle vpon the vncleane the thyrde daye and the seuenth daye. And the seuenth day he shall purify him selfe and washe hys clothes and bathe hym selfe in water, and shalbe cleane at euen.

And when he is clensed, there shall be rekened vnto hym .vij. dayes:

whosoeuer maketh lyke that, or whosoeuer putteth anye of it vpon a straunger, shall peryshe from amonge hys people.

None of the seed of Aaron that is a leper or that hath a runnyng sore, shall eate of the halowed thynges vntyll he be cleane. And whosoeuer toucheth any vncleane soule or man whose seed runneth from him by night,

But yf a man be cleane & not let in a iourney, and yet was neglygent to offer Passeouer the same soule shall perysh from hys people, because he brought not an offerynge vnto the Lorde in his due season: and he shal bere hys synne.
